  • Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for inventory and cost accounting functions.

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Prepare Standard Cost maintenance, analysis, and updates
    • Periodically prepare and review product structures and routings (Bills of Material) to ensure accuracy
    • Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts.
    • Support to finance as needed during the month end closing process
    • Schedule, monitor and audit physical inventories
    • Analyze various financial expenses during month
    • Prepare and issue weekly metric reports
    • Prepare inventory reconciliations
    • Prepare, post and analyze monthly manufacturing variances
    • Prepare manufacturing management reports
    • Assist in preparation of Manufacturing Budget
    • Review, Track, and report on Capital Expenditure Requests
    • Set up, transfer and retire Fixed Assets
    • Review and update ERP operational set-up
    • Verify/Test accuracy of new reports developed by other departments

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collects data, allocates costs and prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly, or other operating expenses, ensuring that established procedures are followed.
    • Prepares financial statements and variance reports as requested.
    • May do analysis and prepare special reports.
    • May interpret reports and records for managers.
    • Developing reports for other departments
    • Perform operational and financial analysis within business units and present findings and recommendations to Management.
    • Review internal controls to investigate and correct operational issues.
    • Prepare internal reporting package including operating metrics, financial controls and performance indicators that will help in improving business performance.
    • Ensure business operations are in compliance with Company policies and best practices.
    • Participate in special projects

    Required Experience

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Experience: 7+ years experience in accounting & at least 3 years in cost accounting required
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
    • Major ERP exposure required.
    • Education: Bachelor in Accounting and/or Finance. CPA, CMA eligible preferred
    • Other requirements: High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office products
    • Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills a must.
    • Ability to work directly with plant personnel, as well as management.
    • Highly detailed and capable of multi-tasking is an asset
