    JOB PURPOSE: Our bakers are Passionate, take Pride in the craftsmanship of all Polly’s products. Maintains integrity of the Polly’s Brand through commitment to deliver quality in production of our goods and recipes. Maintain Polly’s standards of Fresh, Friendly, Above and Beyond Expectations.

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Prepare products using all methods, established portions, and recipes for baking preparation.

    Manages daily production and communication of product counts with Coaching team.

    Prepare breakfast items for bake including quiche, cinnamon rolls, muffins, etc.

    Prepare and bake bread items including loaves, buns, rolls, cookies, etc.

    Daily preparation of seasonal fresh fruit for pies and toppings.

    Clean all bake related machines, workstations, transit trays, and instruments too large for dishwasher.

    Responsible to properly label, organize and rotate bake ingredients in freeze and storage areas; Rotates bake inventory (merchandise and product supplies) to maintain freshness and quality, make products fresh daily.

    Receive orders, check invoices, and put deliveries away as needed.

    Prepare kitchen for the day including making sure everything is secure, lighting the oven, etc.

    Notify the Coaches of any food quality issues, inconsistencies of product with recipes, low inventory, etc.

    Maintain a clean and sanitary bake area and station at all times.

    Comply with established weight and measures, health, sanitation, and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    Protect the Brand through promoting and providing extraordinary service when interacting with team members and guests.

    Demonstrate dependable leadership qualities to work primarily unassisted, and is proactive to escalate matters as needed.

    Flexible to cross train in other functions for back of the house/kitchen areas.

    Must be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts; includes weekends and holidays.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    At least 1 year prior work experience preferred as a cook, baker, or enrollment in a culinary program.

    Ability to use scales, thermometers, measuring, and divide and multiply recipes.

    Good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

    Experience working with baking equipment including oven, mixers, etc.

    Clear understanding of kitchen and food safety guidelines.

    Valid Food Handlers Card (if required by county)
