CONTROLLER

RESPONSIBILITIES
The job responsibilities of our Controller include, but are not limited to:
FINANCE
- Responsible for all banking transactions: monitoring balances, approving payments and transfers, and signing checks
- Manages cost accounting, charter accounts and tax credits
- Identifies cost-saving opportunities and projections
- Oversees collections, cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Responsible for monthly closing and financial reports
- Negotiates with and is the liaison for the bank
- Evaluates capital investments
MANAGEMENT
- Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manages third party vendor relationships with: accountants, banks, customers, suppliers and vendors
- Creates and manages budgets
- Develops and implements processes and procedures within and across departments
- Oversees journal entries
- Responsible for insurance negotiation and research and development
- Monitors inventory
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Controller position or similar
- 2+ years’ experience in a finance role in manufacturing industry
- Experience being responsible for money management
- 5+ years’ QuickBooks experience or similar
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel)
- Must be willing to travel to Hauppauge, New York (not a remote position)
PREFERRED
- 10+ years’ management/leadership experience
- Purchasing experience
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance

SALARY: $110k - $120k
