Polymedco, established in 1980, is a manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of clinical diagnostic test kits and devices in the clinical laboratory. We are a world leader in non-invasive colorectal cancer (CRC) screening technology, providing both fecal tests (FIT) and blood tests for colorectal screening in patients that are non-compliant with colonoscopy test. We have experienced significant growth in the last few years due to our ability to acquire unique technologies and successfully market them.
We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll /Accounting Specialist to join our team in our Westchester County Home Office in Cortlandt Manor, NY.
As a payroll Specialist, you will manage the full day to day payroll operations ranging from data entry to payroll processing using ADP payroll software. In addition, you will also assist the Accounting department with preparation of payroll journal entries, payroll analysis, processing A/P, Expense reports, wires , ach, bank recs and other duties as needed.
This full-time position has a work schedule of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday with overtime as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum two+ years of ADP in-house, full-cycle multi-state payroll tax experience required.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and analytical abilities

- Ability to work independently, with some oversight, and in team environment.
- Must have good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated to take on new responsibilities.
- - Professional written and verbal communication and general office skills.
- Proficiency with databases and computer applications, including MS Office & Excel
- Strong customer orientation with a strong sense of urgency when addressing payroll issues. Professional interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills and the ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and process bi-weekly payroll, incorporating hourly and salary wage
payments and other earnings and deductions, including various non-standard payments for payroll commissions, , bonuses, garnishments, employee benefit and other voluntary deductions.
Create off cycle payrolls and manual checks as needed. Ensure the appropriate new hire paperwork is processed and verified in a timely manner to - meet the company guidelines for payment.
Provide payroll detail as needed for corporate federal and state income tax compliance.
Prepare payroll reports to managers, and , Controller as requested.
Ensure payroll data input is accurate, complete, and entered on-time.
Research and resolve payroll issues and respond promptly to all payroll related questions from employees. Respond and resolve multi-state payroll notices. Confirm regulations in multi states.
Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors, coordinate with ADP as appropriate Collaborate with ADP to automate payroll functions and improve overall efficiencies and
processes. Maintain payroll files, including filing, scanning and shredding.
-Respond to requests for income verification.

Accounting functions included- Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations, updating and analyzing assorted schedules . Verifying and processing payments for expense reports .Processing wire and ach payments .
