Job Description
POSITION: Customer Care
PART TIME: 20 hours per week, expected to become full time by Summer or Fall 2021
START DATE: mid-January 2021
CONTACT: Please submit resume and cover letter.
DESCRIPTION: Teachers, scientists, therapists and a broad variety of professionals contact PVI on a daily basis requesting information and registering for our courses. The Customer Care position is one of the most important within the organization as it is typically one’s first point of contact with PVI. Course enrollees and participants in group discussions will continue to rely on Customer Care’s support as they revisit PVI, so the ability to maintain good rapport with clients is equally important as making a good first impression. Client care is a social position in that it requires ongoing communication with prospects and clients; it also requires a level of attention to detail with regard to course enrollment management
ORGANIZATION: Polyvagal Institute (PVI) is a not-for-profit dedicated to creating a new paradigm for health and wellness. We provide training, support community and facilitate research centered around a revolutionary understanding of the body and mind, as presented in the work of Stephen Porges and Polyvagal Theory. Our goal is to publicize the importance of Polyvagal Theory for professional and lay populations as well as to provide education for the growing number of disciplines expressing an interest in polyvagal thinking and its relevance to their field.
PVI is currently run by a small team: Executive Director (Denver, CO), 3 members of the Board of Directors, a graphics artist/social media manager (Vermont), a technical support and media manager (Maine). New staff will be added as growth requires in 2021.
