    JOB DUTIES:

    • Employee will be required to handle hazardous chemicals per established protocol.
    • Employee must be respirator fitted and pass a pulmonary test.
    • Must be forklift certified.
    • Employee must follow the direction given by management and the Lead Operator.
    • Report any concerns, findings, or otherwise needed information to Acid Room Lead Operator.
    • Work closely with lead operator to develop specialized skills needed to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and quickly.
    • Possess a sense of urgency while completing tasks.
    • Must possess acute mathematical skills.
    • Employee must possess the ability to take verbal, written, and hands-on instructions regarding procedures, training, and compounding.
    • Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions to successfully complete batches scheduled by management.
    • Employee must possess the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with fellow employees, members of management, and outside entities.
    • Employee will participate in the continuous improvement, expansion, and development of capacity and procedures within the Acid Plant.
    • Employee must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
    • Employee must ensure that all materials within the workspace are properly stored, consolidated, and labeled.
    • Employee must adhere to all procedures, rules and laws provided by Management, Polyventive, EPA, DOT, and OSHA.
    • Lifting 75+ lbs. while stepping, twisting, bending, turning, and all other movements.
    • Ascending/descending stairs.
    • Must handle all materials with extreme attention to care and safety.
    • Must perform all duties necessary and work on an as-needed basis. This includes changes in hours worked, duties performed, and vessel location within the plant may vary as needed.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:

    • High school Diploma or Equivalent
    • Hazardous Material handling, PPE training, and Hydrofluoric Acid Handling training.
    • Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Basic computer proficiency, leadership developmental skills, and ability to teach proper procedures to entry-level or experienced compounders.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Work is typically performed in an outside environment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varying temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required.     Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminate these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering.
