GENERAL SUMMARY
The Safety Manager at Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees, temporary employees and contractors, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and manufacturing industry standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
Conducting risk assessments and regular evaluations of existing safety protocols
Organizing safety meetings and providing safety training to employees, temporary workers and contractors
Performing routine inspections of worksites, equipment, and tools to identify safety concerns
Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-miss events
Maintaining compliance with local, state and federal safety laws and industry-specific requirements
Developing and maintaining emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures
Establishing a system for reporting and documenting safety incidents.
Analyzing data to identify areas of improvement
Collaborate with management, supervisors and employees/workers to address safety concerns
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience
Proven experience as a Safety Manager in manufacturing (preferred) or related industry
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management and mitigation
Bilingual – Spanish & English
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified
