    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Quality Inspector at Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is responsible for ensuring products meet requirements using tools and guidelines. Works within a team environment to meet department goals.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    · Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing specifications, etc.).

    · Measure the length of the plastic film using an electric foot counter.

    · Inspection of plastic films for compliance with company SOPs.

    · Perform tension, puncture, and thickness tests manually.

    · Take regular measurements of products coming out of the winder and rewinder machines.

    · Maintain electronic records of testing, information, and various metrics, such as the number of defective products per day.

    · Cut off rolls of plastic using a utility knife after every inspection.

    · Remove nonconforming plastic rolls from production Gaylords.

    · Training team members to detect quality issues and troubleshoot them.

    · Perform other activities designated by the Quality Manager.

    · Reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.

    · Performing quality incoming inspection of raw materials and final inspection of products.

    · Keep the QC station clean at all times.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Familiarity with measuring equipment such as analog and electronic thickness gauges.

    · Familiar with the imperial and metric measurement systems.

    · Skilled with Windows 10 and the use of MS Office.

    · Able to partially cover other shifts QC Inspectors when required.

    · Experience with in-house calibration of equipment.

    · Capable of lifting 25 lbs.

    · Inspections are performed in a standing-up position.

    · Follow existing SOPs.

    · Good at identifying defects.

    · Good communication skills are required.
