    Pomeroy Technologies has an immediate need to fill a BENEFITS SPECIALIST position in our Hebron KY location.

     

    This position is a Full Time Benefited position

     Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    The Benefits Analyst position is responsible for assisting and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs. Provides effective & efficient benefits and customer service to our employees so they receive the appropriate benefits according to their requirements, company policy and benefit plans while supporting the HR vision and values. Investigate new benefit programs, improve existing programs and provide benefit administration. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support all benefits administration processes, including but not limited to: 
    • Lead New hire orientation
    • Lead benefits open enrollment
    • COBRA administration
    • Ensure all benefit plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions are current and distributed as necessary
    •  Assist in the integration, merger, and termination of benefit plans with newly acquired companies or clients
    •  Generate invoicing for employee benefits out on leave of absence, worker's compensation or otherwise not receiving a paycheck
    •  File reporting and work with finance for payment to local entities for required filings and payments
    •  Assist with all audits and testing of benefit programs
    •  Review Payroll/Benefit change reports biweekly, upload contribution files to Vendor
    •  Consult with and advise HR Business Partners and employees on various benefits issues, including eligibility, plan provisions, procedures, questions, and processes. Research employee claims issues with vendor contacts
    • Analyze, audit, monitor, test and troubleshoot benefit interface transmissions between internal systems and external vendor systems
    • Monitor vacation plan and provide reports to accounting and managers in the field as needed
    • Interact with vendors, ensuring that employees have easy access to services and have their questions answered quickly and efficiently
    • Maintain up to date 401k and loan deductions in Payroll system
    • Monitor and perform all required tasks on Benefit Administration system
    • Maintain up-to-date Canadian benefit information, providing new employee with enrollment materials and completing enrollments in vendor website
    • Plan and execute special employee events related to health & wellness such as flu clinics, webinars and other wellness activities. Prepare and distribute information (communications) to employees on various benefit programs
    • Immediate back up for other Benefits coworker and available to cover for certain parts of Benefits Supervisor duties
    • Maintain, Understand all ACA Compliance items and File all 1095's at year end

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • 5 to 7 years' experience administering a broad range of employee benefits; knowledge of current laws & regulations (ACA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, ERISA, etc.)
    • Knowledge in Oracle, ADP ProBusiness and Benefitfocus is a plus
    • 401(k) Plans, Disability Management, and Workers Compensation knowledge and administration
    • Benefits Open Enrollment Procedures
    • Strong organizational skills & detail oriented
    • Strong Presentation Skills for all levels of the Business
    • Effective communication & written skills
    • Knowledge of office & business procedures
    • Strong technical and data analysis skills
    • MS Office; Strong in Excel, Word, Outlook
