    Job Description

    Pomeroy is currently is recruiting for a Technical Engineer to work with our client, a growing manufacturing company. This a 8 + month contract. The position works remote and will go to a hybrid schedule in May. The main responsibility of this role is to keep the environment up to date with technical support of end user computers, applications, and related technologies in the form of tickets and projects. Support requires interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems..

     

    POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS

    • Providing EUC engineering support services for the hardware and software of the organizations' employees
    • Experience as a 3rd level escalation partner for issues originating at the service desk
    • Assist Engineer I partners in escalations for issues originating at the service desk
    • Testing of computer hardware, software and peripherals as needed for project or support roles
    • Identify and problem solve issues that affect end user computing
    • Offer recommendations on upgrades needed to hardware and software packages
    • Analyze computer needs in the organization as required for projects and/or lifecycle
    • Manage desktop and server antivirus console in an enterprise environment
    • Analyzes and documents business processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies and communicate those solutions to business partners and customers.
    • Utilize scripting and scripting languages in daily activities
    • Ability to create documentation and provide training for service desk personnel
    • Intermediate knowledge of enterprise command, control and inventory system console environment
    • Have in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10

     

    PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

    • Bachelors or Associates degree in technology related field or equivalent experience
    • 5 Years’ experience with increasing technical difficulty
    • Professional certifications (Comp TIA A+, CISSP, MCSA, BSCE, etc)
    • Ability to work without supervision
    • Good communications skills, on the phone and in person
    • Initiative
    • Ability to multi task
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Excellent customer service
    • Ability to perform under pressure
