    Job Description

    Pomeroy is currently looking for a QA Analyst. This is a contract to hire opportunity that will be working with our client a growing company in the financial industry. This position will be working in the downtown Los Angeles, CA area. This position will work within scrum/agile development teams to understand business-critical functions and develop coherent and reusable test strategies.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field

    · 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with multiple development and testing platforms

    · Experience with cloud infrastructure, application development and testing practices

    · Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

    · Strong background in relational databases and SQL scripting

    · Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test plans and test cases

    · Hands-on experience with white box, black box and regression test strategies

    · Experience working in development teams under different SDLCs, especially agile methodologies.

     

    PROFESSIONAL SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Demonstrated ability to communicate technical and non-technical information

    · Experience leading test review and analysis sessions across development and test teams

    · Proven experience working with distributed onshore and offshore teams

     

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    · 5+ years of experience with back-end testing, Rest API or data validation testing

    · Experience with performance or security testing is a plus

    · Experience in financial services, fintech or testing of financial software/systems is a plus
