Duties:
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of the nutrition care of the patients in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, clinical guidelines, and policies and procedures.
- Provides oversight in coordination with the Food Service Director to ensure that safe and accurate food service is provided to the patients.
- Ensures that residents are treated with dignity, kindness and respect.
- Plans, organizes, implements the overall food service functions in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the facility.
- Develops and maintains a file of tested, standardized recipes and menus in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Interviews residents and families periodically to determine dietary needs, likes and dislike and maintains records for each resident.
Qualifications:
- Licensure and/or certification from the State Licensing Board for Dieticians
- Two years experience in acute care hospital, preferred.**Registered dietitians awaiting approval of State Licensing board allowed. Provisional dietitians must have all documentation in a medical record co-signed by a state licensed dietician.
