WHAT: A small, family-owned business in Waldo (KCMO) is looking to add to our Kennel Technician team/daycare team WHO: We are looking for dependable, self-starters that LOVE dogs. We work hard and play hard. HOW: Kennel technicians are responsible for overseeing and interacting with our packs of dogs and providing exceptional care. Dog knowledge is preferred, albeit not required, but the hunger to learn, is. We promote 100% from within so the opportunity to grow (and earn) abounds WHEN: Now is the time! This full-time position is a 35-40 hours per week obligation. This does include some weekends and holidays and will vary from week to week-flexible schedule Our team of dedicated Pooches staff will guide you through cross-training during your first few months with us. This is a very physical and rewarding job with a great team! Compensation will be based on experience and contribution. $12-$15/hour. This also includes client gratuities (after 30 days of employment). Pay raises will match your growth within the company. Holiday pay is at a bonus rate. Responsibilities: DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Assisting in the arrivals and departures of dogs • Managing playgroups with 25+ dogs • Ensuring exceptional pet care • Spot clean-ups of the play areas continuously throughout the day • Escorting dogs throughout all areas of the facility • Food prep and feeding of our canine guests • Set-up and tear-down of boarding areas • Thorough cleaning and sanitation of daycare and boarding rooms and outside play facilities • Dishes and laundry • Baths, nail trims-dog grooming • And much more! Qualifications: • Kennel Technician, Dog Daycare experience preferred • Customer service experience • Animal care experience preferred • Vet Technician experience • Excellent communication skills Compensation: $12 - $15 hourly
