  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY

    The Pool Attendant position is responsible to transport soiled towels to the laundry area, sort and fold clean towels so they are ready for guest use, and maintain clean towel inventory. This position will be responsible to ensure the pool area is clean.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
    • Six months cleaning and maintaining chemicals for pool.
    • CPR certified.
    • Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
    • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
    • Open availability is a must; including Holidays, nights, & weekends.

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

    • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner.
    • WORK HABITS: Meet the hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality; report to work and return from breaks on time; give advance notice when absence is anticipated; require typical amount of supervision; accept work assignments without complaints.
    • PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Accept opportunities to learn new skills, improve performance or cross-train for other hotel positions; solve routine problems that occur on the job; ask questions when not sure how to complete something; learn new skills as quickly as most others in the same job.
    • SAFETY AND SECURITY: Follow the hotel’s recommended safety, security and emergency procedures; follows hotel procedures for key control, lifting heavy objects and/or using chemicals; reports potential security risks and hazardous conditions to management.
    • CLEANING/MAINTENANCE: Meet the hotel standards for cleanliness; clean assigned areas on schedule; pass inspections; maintain local health department standards; performs general repairs in a satisfactory and timely manner; keeps tools and equipment clean and secure; completes preventive maintenance duties on schedule.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Assist guests with towels, furniture, information, and other related services.

    • Maintain a daily ledger of pool and spa readings.

    • Maintain work area neat and organized.

    • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.

    • Assist with the repair and maintenance of the pools, spas, and fountains.

    • Clean and maintain pools, spas, and fountains.

    • Attend all mandatory meetings.

    • Patrol sauna, exercise room, lockers room, and surrounding areas.

    • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
