The Position
Pool Scouts is seeking an experienced Pool Maintenance Specialist and Repair Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time, year-round position for a motivated professional with several years of experience in pool maintenance, equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs. Position may change to part-time December-March, depending on how much work we have during those months.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll perform routine pool maintenance while serving as our primary technician for diagnosing and repairing pool equipment and plumbing systems.

Primary Responsibilities
Pool Maintenance
Perform weekly pool cleaning and maintenance services.
Test and balance pool water chemistry.
Clean skimmer baskets, pump baskets, filters, and pool surfaces.
Inspect pools and equipment for proper operation.
Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers.
Equipment Diagnostics & Repairs
Diagnose equipment failures and identify the root cause of pool system issues.
Replace pool pumps, motors, seals, and impellers.
Install and replace cartridge, DE, and sand filters.
Perform sand changes and filter media replacements.
Repair and replace pool plumbing, valves, unions, fittings, and PVC piping.
Troubleshoot leaks and circulation problems.
Install and replace chlorinators, salt systems, heaters, timers, automation controls, and other pool equipment.
Complete equipment startups and verify proper system operation.
Document repairs with photos and detailed service notes.
Recommend repair or replacement options to customers when necessary.

Qualifications
2+ years of professional pool maintenance and repair experience required.
Strong knowledge of pool circulation systems, filtration, plumbing, and water chemistry.
Experience replacing pumps, motors, filters, plumbing components, and pool equipment.
Ability to diagnose equipment failures and recommend appropriate repairs.
Experience working with cartridge, DE, and sand filtration systems.
Familiarity with automation systems, salt systems, heaters, and timers is preferred.
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Certified Pool Technician (CPT) certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and service software to document work and communicate with customers.
Schedule
Full-time, year-round
Monday–Friday
Typical hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Occasional overtime or weekend work during peak season
