📌 Job Description – Pool Equipment Mechanic / Crew Leader
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pool Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role involves installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining pool equipment, as well as supporting customer service and training junior mechanics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
Install new pool equipment (ozonators, salt generators, chlorinators, piping, plumbing, valves, manifolds, etc.)
Evaluate and estimate service needs for new customers
Assess service quality for current customers
Diagnose and repair electronic controls
Take precise measurements for new liner replacements, winter safety covers, spa covers, and safety fences
Perform all new pool start-ups and customer indoctrinations
Carry out all duties of an Open/Close Crew Leader
Assist customer service representatives by addressing technical questions in the office and on-site
Train and mentor junior mechanics
Compensation & Benefits

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years of pool mechanical, service, repair, and diagnostics experience
Valid driver’s license
Ability to maintain and adjust controls, systems, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs
Knowledge of pool maintenance, cleaning methods, and equipment care
Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted, multiple times per day
Ability to frequently reach, stoop, bend, and kneel daily
Ability to withstand extensive walking and standing daily
Availability to work 40 hours per week, including weekends if needed
Flexibility to work longer hours during peak season (April–November)
Excellent customer service skills
Proficiency with computers
