    Roles and Responsibilities for IT Support Technician

     

    The IT Support Technician (ITST) is a member of the IT Department and reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The ITST provides support to stores in a number of areas that include but are not limited to:

    ● Point of sale (POS) registers

    ● Back office computers, tablets, and printers

    ● Store broadband and network systems

    ● Network and phone line cabling (low voltage cabling and terminations)

    ● Security cameras

    ● Payment processing terminals and systems

    ● Digital menu boards

    ● Drive-thru timers and headsets

    ● Store security alarm systems

    ● Back office software systems

     

    The ITST will:

     

    ● Travel extensively to all the stores in the Las Vegas area. Their primary responsibility will be to ensure the store’s IT related systems are in good working condition. They will make repairs and perform scheduled maintenance to all the store IT systems. They will also provide remote support to stores to work on software related issues. The ITST will utilize the company Helpdesk to manage requests from the stores. They will also be the primary contact for the stores with any IT related emergency issues. If they are unable to resolve the problem, it will be escalated to the CIO.

    ● Work closely with the CIO to develop and implement a schedule to visit the stores and perform maintenance in the stores. In the initial months, there will be extensive work that needs to be completed to get the stores more organized and cleaned up. After the initial organization, the ITST will maintain the IT equipment so it remains clean and organized.

    ● Implement any new IT-related projects in the stores. Working with the CIO, they will be the on-site resource to make sure the projects are completed correctly.

    ● Need to develop good relationships with other vendors that are used with the IT systems in the stores. They will oversee work the vendors perform and verify it is completed to our satisfaction.

    ● Work closely with the store managers and shift leaders to assist with any IT related assistance or training that may be needed.

    ● Help implement new systems to better track assets in the stores. The ITST will participate in this process and assist as needed.

    ● Be responsible for maintaining an inventory of replacement parts and hardware. They will work with the various vendors we use to repair hardware.

    ● The stores are open 7 days a week and most holidays. The ITST will need to be available during non-standard hours in times of urgent issues that need to be resolved. This would include periodically checking company phone and messages during non-scheduled working hours to make sure the stores are supported during their operating hours.

     

    Willing to train in some areas, but applicants should have some technical background and knowledge. Knowledge in network, phone and security system cabling is preferred.
