Job Description
Poretta & Orr is seeking a FULL-TIME BOOKKEEPER interacting with the functions of the Accounting department of our company. This position requires interfacing with internal account teams and vendors.
Role and Responsibilities
· Maintaining records of financial transaction of both payable/receivable by posting and verifying
· Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a charts of accounts
· Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts
· Maintaining a balanced general ledger
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
· Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Contractor Edition software
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· Basic accounting knowledge
· Understanding of industry benchmarks in accounting best practices
· Experience in Microsoft Office specifically Excel a must
· Confidentiality
· Attention to detail
· Excellent project and time management skills; operates effectively in a deadline-driven environment
· Communication skills – Oral & Written
