Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting sales and marketing efforts of Port Jersey Logistics. This role will support the sales/marketing team in developing, identifying, and acquiring new business and supporting current customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Support the Business Development department activities such as lead generation with current and existing customers.
· Support new business development by using various tools like databases and mailing campaigns.
· Be able to develop, maintain and manage accounts primarily through inside sales efforts through phone calls, emails, mailings, etc.
· Gather data from leads and using given metrics to qualify opportunities.
· Be able to communicate with the leads/customers effectively and be tactful and intelligent while negotiating rates and services.
· Be able to use CRM to organize and track activity and be able to complete weekly reports.
· Assist with company marketing efforts and company material development.
· Support with customer on-boarding for new accounts; relationship transition from Business Development Team to Operations Team.
