Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Porter/Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents in our 55+ community. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas, assisting with light maintenance tasks, and ensuring the property remains presentable for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, elevators, restrooms, laundry rooms, and community spaces

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces regularly

Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas

Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas such as walkways, patios, and entryways

Clean windows, doors, and glass surfaces in common areas

Assist with basic maintenance tasks and report repair needs to management

Restock cleaning supplies and restroom products as needed

Respond promptly to spills or safety hazards to maintain a safe environment

Assist with setup and cleanup for community events when needed

Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and guests

Qualifications:

Previous janitorial, porter, or cleaning experience preferred

Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Friendly and respectful demeanor when interacting with senior residents

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling

Basic maintenance knowledge is a plus

Experience working in residential communities, apartments, or senior living environments

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor work in a residential community setting
