Job Description

This hybrid remote entry level office position requires no experience - we'll teach you everything you need to know. As part of the Risk Services division of Porter & Curtis in Media, PA, you will be trained to provide customer service support, create presentations and perform data entry tasks.

Porter & Curtis, a division of Heffernan Insurance Brokers, provides both commercial property and casualty insurance Brokerage and Risk Management services. As part of the Risk Services team, you will implement and maintain curated integrated risk management solutions to select clients. Customized standards and resources based on root cause analysis have been proven to help clients improve safety and efficiency; avoid accidents, damage, and injuries; and reduce insurance costs.

We are seeking energetic, helpful, friendly, well-spoken individuals with professional writing skills to field risk management inquiries and conduct compliance surveys over the phone, through email and using Quadra, a web-based system. Additional creative presentation and data entry project participation will be as assigned. The schedule is full-time hybrid remote Mondays through Fridays from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide assigned client locations with timely and helpful risk management support via telephone, email and online
• Data entry and other projects as assigned

JOB DUTIES:

• Provide prompt, friendly and helpful customer service experience Mondays through Fridays from 8:30am to 5:30pm EST
• Take incoming calls and monitor incoming emails from assigned client locations
• Understand and apply a client’s particular set of risk standards to answer risk management inquiries
• Document client interactions
• Conduct telephonic and online risk management compliance surveys
• Update exposure schedules online
• Contribute to team effort by participating in assigned projects and accomplishing related results

SKILLS:

• Professional speaking and writing skills
• Comfortable with phone contact and exhibits active listening skills
• A self starter with the ability to stay on task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Commitment to continued development of skills and knowledge
• Ability to show flexibility in response to change and adapt to accommodate new standards
• Competency in Excel helpful

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Recent graduates welcome, minimum of High School Degree required.
• Experience: No Experience Necessary - Entry level position.
