    About the role

    We are seeking a motivated Porter to join the Savory team at one of our onsite business dining spaces. In this role, you will clean and transport cookware and serviceware, maintain culinary equipment and work areas, receive deliveries, and support daily kitchen operations.

    The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Cleaning and Sanitation

    Wash and store pots, pans, trays, utensils, and serviceware.

    Sweep and mop floors and clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, and equipment.

    Remove and sort trash according to designated procedures.

    Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service areas.

    Kitchen and Service Support

    Bus tables and collect room-service or bar trays.

    Restock tools, supplies, and equipment for the next shift.

    Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.

    Support line cooks with basic food preparation, storage, labeling, and dating.

    Deliveries and Storage

    Receive orders from Savory headquarters and follow delivery-checking procedures.

    Check, organize, and stock delivered items.

    Maintain temperature logs.

    Keep walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas organized.

    Job Requirements

    Experience and Skills

    Previous food service, porter, dishwasher, or kitchen experience preferred.

    Knowledge of food service and sanitation regulations preferred.

    Ability to safely use the tools and equipment required for the role.

    Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks.

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

    Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach.

    Schedule and Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift, carry, or pull up to 50 pounds.

    Ability to stand for prolonged periods.

    Flexible availability, including early mornings, days, evenings, and holidays, based on business needs.
