    A Porter’s basic function involves maintaining cleanliness, appearance and safety standards of facilities. A porter performs basic maintenance duties and general tasks for the company, ensuring that equipment and facilities are safe, clean and organized, reporting any safety concerns or violations to superiors.

    PAY: $16 PER HOUR SCHEDULE: 5-7 days per week - 35-40 hours per week; will determine schedule before hired. Hours depend on scheduled days,- but opportunity for 40 hours. Weekend availability required.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitized. (Underneath all shelving as well, using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors)

    • Clean all drains, including bar drains

    • Monitor, clean and restock washrooms (including cleaning bathroom walls)

    • Bussing/running food during high volume hours

    • Maintain patio/outdoor cleanliness – including watering plants and leaf blowing

    • Cleaning floor mats and bar mats

    • Keep the food and supply storage areas organized

    • Assist other employees by running their errands such as moving stock, event setup, and delivering items when necessary

    • Respond to spills or other cleaning issues

    • Maintain internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store

    • Clean windows and garage doors

    • Report to and assist maintenance manager with one-off tasks

    • Follow all food safety, and health department compliance guidelines

    • Any other duties deemed necessary to the position

    Requirements:

    • Previous similar experience (minimum 2 years)

    • General restaurant compliance, and food safety knowledge

    • Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

    • The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment and as part of a team

    • Patience and cool headedness

    • High school degree or equivalent is a plus but not necessary

    • Valid Food Handler’s certification

    • Ability to life and carry up to 70lbs; ability to stand for long hours at a time

    • Authorized to work in the United States
