Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Associate, with at least 2-3 years of professional experience, to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will assist the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Research in managing and reporting on investment portfolios, conducting investment research, and developing investment strategies to help our clients achieve their financial goals. The candidate will also work cross-functionally with the operations and investment teams of our growing firm. A long-term career path will be defined as the candidate develops within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Investments

The candidate will support Sunpointe’s Chief Investment Officer and Director of Research to manage client portfolios, research potential investment ideas, meet with investment managers, and compose performance reports.

• Portfolio Management: Assist in monitoring and managing client investment portfolios to ensure alignment with their financial objectives.
• Investment Research: Assist Director of Research with manager due diligence, market and economic research, and other tasks as assigned. The candidate will attend Investment Committee meetings as a non-voting member to discuss their work.

Investment Operations

· Trade Execution : Trade and rebalance client portfolios based on direction of clients and advisors to meet requests.

• Compliance : Work with CRM system to document workflows and tasks. Monitor and manage portfolio asset allocation and ensure compliance with the firm’s investment policies, model portfolios, and regulatory requirements.

· Investment Performance Reporting: Generate reports detailing information about investment performance. Serve as a trusted point of contact for complex portfolios.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using Addepar or a similar performance reporting software is preferred
• Progress towards CFA, CAIA, CIMA, or CIPM designations, or an MBA, is beneficial but not required
