    Position Summary

    The Portfolio Construction Specialist supports complex case analysis and model portfolio construction for high-net-worth clients. In this role, you will collect and analyze financial information, markets, and products, and develop recommendations using a variety of tools. This is a highly analytical position requiring strong organization, excellent follow-up, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform complex client case analysis and portfolio design

    Provide portfolio recommendations, construction, and management for model portfolios

    Collect and analyze client financial data using financial planning software tools

    Develop preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review

    Prepare charts, graphs, tables, and visual aids used in decision-making and case implementation

    Develop portfolio product solutions aligned with client risk tolerance, tax sensitivities, and time horizon

    Close out and deliver plans following Ameriprise required procedures

    Provide general administrative support (correspondence, forms, reports, processing confidential documents, email maintenance)

    Maintain strong compliance awareness and adhere to all Ameriprise/practice regulations

    Complete additional duties and projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    CFA required

    1–2 years of finance or accounting experience

    Strong financial market and product knowledge, including (but not limited to): mutual funds, annuities, separately managed accounts, structured notes, alternative investments, ETFs

    Strong data analysis skills

    Highly organized; ability to prioritize a diverse workload, multitask, and take initiative

    Strong task management and follow-up

    Professional, courteous, team-oriented, strong work ethic

    Proficient in MS Office with deep Excel experience required

    Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as required by the Advisor and Ameriprise Financial

    Ability to support compliance within the Advisor’s practice
