    CREATIVE PROJECTS TRAILBLAZER

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Creative Projects Trailblazer is responsible for delivering creative opportunities, ideas, and solutions for innovative programs and development of collateral materials for the agency to further the mission of serving people with disabilities. This position is located at the main campus of PossAbilities and involves working with internal and external constituents, including participants, employees, vendors, community organizations, and businesses with whom the organization partners.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work as part of the program leadership team to assure mission centered and vision focused outcomes.
    • Serve as a voice for creative initiatives in agency programming and agency communications.
    • Conduct research to determine direction, collaborating partners, and funding opportunities for creative programming.
    • Participate in grants solicitation and public speaking on behalf of the agency.
    • Maintain high level of communication with collaborating businesses and other organizations.
    • Design and implement programs to address continuous quality improvement and excellence in service.
    • Work with program staff and participants to design programs to meet their needs.
    • Support development of a creative arts program for people with disabilities.
    • Research and identify innovative program opportunities for people with disabilities in the greater Rochester area.
    • Participate as a member of the public awareness committee.
    • Document agency events and provide visual services for collateral materials.
    • Organize and attend community events, as assigned.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have an associate's degree in communications, design or related field or a combination of post-secondary education and three years' experience in project coordination
    • Three years of experience in working with persons with disabilities
    • Proven collaboration skills with other organizations
    • Create an environment that attracts and supports volunteers
    • Ability to take calculated risk in order to bring groundbreaking new programs forward
    • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
    • Strong creative communication skills
    • Experience with design and editing software
    • Ability to produce high quality visual arts for agency use
    • Ability to use visual arts to tell stories and ignite campaigns
    • Demonstrated creative thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

    LOCATION:

    • Rochester, MN office with minimal travel.

    SCHEDULE:

    • 40 hours per week
    • Monday - Friday
