    Job Description

    The VP, Marketplace Operations will be responsible for the growth and maintenance of the growing postal vendor network and marketplace. This role will report to the CEO. 

    As the head of our go-to market and operations strategy for Postal's marketplace, you will be focused on:

    MARKETPLACE OPERATIONS. You will oversee all marketplace operations at Postal. In Postal's two-sided marketplace, this role will manage our supply side of a 100+ vendors that service the demand side of over 300 enterprise customers and 10,000 users... and growing. Your experience in working with GTM operations in the supply side of a successful marketplace model will be integral in managing Postal's Vendor Marketplace, Virtual Event Providers, Warehouse/Logistics Network, and our Concierge Vendor Network.        

    DRIVING GROSS MERCHANDISING VALUE (GMV). Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to execute vendor attraction, onboarding, pricing/margin strategy, advertising, success, all focused on driving GMV in the business. You will ensure improvements in vendor NPS, GMV, revenue growth, order distribution, and technical/operational efficiencies.

    BEING VENDOR/CUSTOMER OBSESSED. Our vendors are as important as our consumers. This role will be responsible for listening and learning about our vendors and users. 

    OPERATING WITH EXCELLENCE: Operate at the highest standards. As the leader and owner of the marketplace's strategic program, we must execute with excellence, become subject matter experts, hire the team to support our growth, communicate with the executive team effectively, and leverage research and data to make decisions

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Refine our marketplace strategy for the customer and vendor value propositions, incorporating the insights of our customers, partners, sellers, and perspectives across the organization.

    • Establish the KPI & analytics framework for the marketplace team and drive the roadmap for ongoing analytical insights to generate value for our vendors and the business.

    • Develop and Implement our International vendor growth strategy.

    • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop coordinated objectives and ensure regular progress toward those goals.

    • Drive partnership strategy, relationships, and key initiatives related to expanding the Marketplace seller base and expanding Marketplace key capabilities to drive growth and advance our strategic vision.

    • Lead seller advocacy, training, change and evangelism to ensure we are always listening to the voice of our sellers and partners, and considering the sellers needs as we develop key strategies, standards and expectations, and communicate critical changes.

    • Develop processes and procedures to ensure customers and recipients are delighted.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years of relevant leadership experience in operations at a company with a successful supply and demand-side model

    • Ability to set a strategy and a vision for the team; and drive it to execution

    • Great demeanor and partner-facing attitude, including being reliable, helpful, and efficient

    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias for action

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills

    • Results/metrics-driven

    • Ability to work strategically with senior executives

    • Track-record of effectively managing teams to complete multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities with minimum guidance; Program Management experience in an enterprise company a plus

    • Strong moral compass and values

    • Ability to collaborate inside and outside organization to develop consensus and create

    • Has built strong relationships at every level of the organization and is a strong motivator who knows how to influence and get others to consistently do their best work
