Position Summary
The Operations Project Manager leads the execution of complex electrical distribution and critical infrastructure projects, serving as the key liaison between customers, engineering teams, factory operations, and field service partners. This role oversees project timelines, budgets, risk mitigation, logistics, and stakeholder communication while supporting mission-critical projects across data centers, utilities, clean energy, and industrial sectors. Ideal candidates bring strong project management experience, technical knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
Job Function
- Serve as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders, factory teams, logistics teams, and field service partners.
- Track project schedules, KPIs, risks, budgets, approval timelines, and project changes.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and stakeholder governance meetings.
- Manage the execution of technical efforts in the field.
- Provide technical support for internal teams, service partners, and customer inquiries in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Support technical design reviews, transportation logistics, field documentation, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Assist sales teams in validating customer solutions and supporting business growth initiatives.
- Travel domestically and internationally for project coordination and quality assurance activities.
- Promote workplace safety and employee well-being.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Experience in HV/MV electrical, industrial power equipment, or related industries preferred.
- Experience working with international teams preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to read electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schedules, and technical submittals.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Microsoft 365, MS Dynamics, ERP, CRM, and related project tracking tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual Mandarin language skills are a plus.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to work outside of standard hours periodically for global coordination efforts.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
