    JOB TYPE: Full-time

DEPARTMENT:  Rotational program across up to 4 functional areas of PowerAdvocate’s global client services and technology business including Consulting, Growth Strategy, Product Management, and Data Science. Rotations may be based upon skills sets, interests and business need.

PowerAdvocate is a fast-growing company at the intersection of technology, big data, and energy and natural resources. Our core asset is our $5 trillion+ proprietary database and technology platform which we apply to solve some of the world’s most complex cost management challenges for our customers in the power, renewables, oil and gas, and minerals industry sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE:   We are looking for driven, self-starting individuals to support the key functional areas of our rapidly growing business. These functional areas include our Consulting, Growth Strategy, Product Management, and Data Science teams.

The Associate Rotational Program at PowerAdvocate is specifically designed to provide a diversified experience to young professionals interested in building a career in software, technology, consulting, energy, or entrepreneurship. Unlike traditional roles at other companies, the Associate Rotational Program will give you the opportunity to work in 6-18 month rotations across a wide range of high value job experiences – gaining an unparalleled level of autonomy, responsibility, and client exposure in the process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   While Associates are responsible for a variety of tasks across our most strategic functional areas, some common activities include:

    • Interpreting big data sets to identify new opportunities for customer value creation
    • Performing proprietary market analyses to provide unique data insights to customers
    • Interfacing directly with clients through a consultative sales and marketing approach to drive global revenue growth
    • Translating the business needs of customers to actionable insights that informs product development

WHAT ELSE YOU WILL GET: There are a lot of reasons to work at PowerAdvocate, but nothing is as impactful as the business training and professional opportunities you will receive within our Associate Rotational program. From day one, you will get:

    • The opportunity to learn foundational business skills that will help jumpstart a career in technology, energy, consulting, data science, product management, sales and marketing, growth strategy, or entrepreneurship
    • Significant professional growth in an environment where personal development is a core tenet of the team’s culture
    • The opportunity to take on an enormous amount of responsibility early on your career
    • Vibrant, start-up culture in an office right in downtown Boston

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Our Associates have come from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds, so we are not solely focused on a candidate’s experience. What we are really looking for are individuals who are smart, ambitious, hungry to learn, and who want to work in a collaborative, team-based environment. Some other things we are looking for include:

    • Degree from an undergraduate program
    • 0 – 1 year of professional experience
    • Strong analytical and communication skills – we want people who can tell a story with numbers, and who aren’t afraid of digging into data
    • Preference for a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture
    • Desire to tackle interesting challenges and unique opportunities with limited guidance
