Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 1 year with possible extension.
Work Schedule: Hybrid( 2 days in office)

Are you a skilled PowerBuilder developer seeking a challenging role in a dynamic environment?
We are looking for a talented PowerBuilder Developer to join our team in Lansing, MI. As a PowerBuilder Developer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our legacy PowerBuilder applications.
Key Responsibilities:

• PowerBuilder Development: Utilize your expertise in PowerBuilder (version 7 or higher) to analyze, modify, and improve existing applications.
• Legacy Code Analysis: Document the processes and data interactions of our legacy PowerBuilder source code.
• SQL Query Writing: Write complex T-SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
• Data Management: Perform data profiling, mapping, manipulation, validation, and analysis to support data migration and cleansing.
• Source Control: Collaborate with our team using source control technologies like TFS/Azure DevOps or Git.
• Unit Testing: Document and execute unit tests to ensure the quality of program changes.
• Documentation: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams.
• Testing: Work closely with clients and business analysts to support test scenarios.
• Production Support: Analyze and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and provide effective solutions.
• Change Management: Adhere to change management procedures and contribute to the execution of changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
• PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher)
• Work in a hybrid office and/or home environment.
• Willingness to learn.

Required Skills

• PowerBuilder Developer-Research legacy PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data. Current experience 5
• T-SQL Query Writing Resource must have a high level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database.
• Must have experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data. 10 years
• Data Management-Must have experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis. 10 years
• Source Control-Must have experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT. 5 years
• Unit Testing-Must has experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes. 10 years
• Documentation - Must have experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams. 10 years
• Testing Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios. 5 years
• Production Support- Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis. 5 years
• Change Management- Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes. 5 years
