Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled PowerOn Symitar Developer with at least 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining solutions within the Symitar Episys core banking system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PowerOn programming, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience working in the financial services or credit union industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain PowerOn Applications: Design, code, test, and implement PowerOn scripts to automate processes and enhance functionality in the Symitar Episys core system.
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Custom Report Development: Build and maintain custom reports, forms, and batch processes using PowerOn and related Symitar tools.
System Integration: Integrate Episys with third-party systems and APIs as required by the organization.
Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and resolve system issues, script errors, and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions, workflows, and customizations.
Compliance & Security: Ensure all developed solutions comply with industry standards, data privacy, and security regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation and enhancements in Episys.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with PowerOn scripting in Symitar Episys.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in PowerOn programming and Episys environment
Familiarity with Symitar core banking processes and data structures
Experience with Symitar Quest, Repgen, and SymForm tools is a plus
Knowledge of SQL, batch processing, and system integrations
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a credit union or financial institution
Experience with API integration and middleware technologies
