    About the role

    Rokt is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who is highly motivated, proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment and produces a high volume of timely and accurate work. It is essential to be well-versed in all facets of the Accounts Payable function to ensure success in this role. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Specialist should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, have a commitment to continuous improvement, be creative, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and complex environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver a high volume of transactional work with accuracy and timeliness focusing on Accounts Payable processing and reporting
    • Set up new vendors in the Company’s ERP and manage the consolidated vendor list
    • Monitor and manage the Company’s Accounts Payable mailboxes
    • Review and assess proper invoice coding including general ledger expense account and department/team cost associations
    • Complete weekly reviews of invoicing workflows and vendor ownership assignments within the Company’s ERP
    • Prepare accounts payable aging analysis and reconcile AP to the General Ledger on a monthly basis as part of the accounting close
    • Handle vendor correspondence ensuring timely and professional responses
    • Provide superior customer service skills.
    • Research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons
    • Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing invoices and payments
    • Train internal and external customers on Accounts Payable processes
    • Create, lead and/or participate in process improvement projects within Accounts Payable and across the organization as appropriate
    • Record transactions in general ledger system including manual adjusting journal entries, as needed
    • Provide administrative support to Finance team

    Requirements

    • 2-4 years of Accounting or Accounts Payable experience
    • Required Technical Skills:
      • Intermediate level knowledge of G-Suite and Excel (including pivot tables and advanced formulas)
      • Familiarity with Workday ERP and ticketing systems (JIRA preferred)
      • Banking platform and ACH/Wire process knowledge (HSBCnet and JPM Access preferred)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service to provide clear and detailed responses
    • Proactive and positive attitude with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize, work effectively, and complete assignments in a timely manner
    • Desire to identify problems and work to resolve them independently or with the team
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field

    What we need from you:

    • HS or GED is required. An associate degree is preferred.
    • On-site Monday - Friday to collaborate with your team.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience working in an AP or Accounting environment is a must.
    • Familiar with clerical practices, office procedures, and automated equipment.
    • Able to handle confidential information professionally.
    • Able to work with little supervision.
    • Ability to prioritize workloads and be flexible.
    • SAP experience is a plus but not required.
    • Willingness and ability to work in a high-volume environment is critical.
