PowerSpec Inc. is a manufacturing corporation of custom power distribution equipment and uninterruptable power supplies, headquartered in New Jersey for 25 years, with locations in Eatontown New Jersey and Champaign Illinois. PowerSpec Inc. products are designed, manufactured, and shipped within the United States. PowerSpec Inc. is actively looking to expand its Team with a career professional who is looking to contribute to the growth of our Accounting and Finance Department.

JOB TITLE:

Controller

JOB PURPOSE:

The Controller works as part of the Accounting and Finance Team and is responsible for closely monitoring the company's financial health.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:

• Oversees the organizations daily accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Works with the executive team to guide the organization's financial decisions.
• Communicates regularly with the executive management team.
• Coordinates and prepares internal and external financial statements.
• Manages the budget process.
• Assesses current accounting operations and offers recommendations for improvement and implements new processes.
• Develops and monitors financial performance metrics.
• Oversees regulatory reporting, tax planning and compliance.
• Participates in the growth, training, and development of all members of the Accounting and Finance Team.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Must be skilled in using a computer, including typing skills, writing skills, editing skills, and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.

Must be comfortable interacting with people, in-person, over the phone, and in writing.

Must be comfortable working on assignments independently after receiving training and instruction.

Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Must have reliable transportation to-and-from work.

HELPFUL, NOT REQUIRED:

Skilled in using GSuite (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.)

• Full-Time

SALARY:

• $100,000 to $125,000 annually

SCHEDULE:

• Daytime Office Hours
• Monday through Friday
