    PowerTrain, Inc. Education and Training/ Instructional System Specialist ****

    The Education and Training / Instructional System Specialist will work as a part of a team supporting the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio, TX. Work involves occupational competency modeling for a variety of USAF career fields which includes, determining the combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics that manifest in observable and measurable pattern of behaviors required for mission success in a particular work setting.

    Primary Location

    San Antonio, Texas

    Travel required - up to 50% within the United States

    Responsibilities

    • Ability to collect and records job data and develop listings of duties, tasks, and elements necessary to perform the job through statistical analysis of the collected data.
    • Ability to select the tasks (competencies) requiring training and develop measures of job performance.
    • Ability to work with career fields to develop unique competencies, sub-competencies, and definitions for each career field.
    • Ability to construct a competency rubric consisting of a competency, a description of the competency, proficiency levels, and measurable and observable behaviors over the continuum of learning throughout an Airman’s career.
    • Ability to translate competencies into learning outcomes to support training and assessment programs.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Must currently hold or must be able to obtain secret clearance
    • Minimum of three years’ experience in a military training and education position at the Group, Wing, Number Air Force, or Major Command level or equivalent.
    • Community College of the Air Force Instructor Certification or equivalent.
    • Community College of the Air Force Associate’s Degree or equivalent
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • ·Must have a proven record of producing high-impact results for a customer.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail skills.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Air Force Training Pipeline Manager, Training Manager, or Career Field Manager
    • Experience as an action officer on a Major Command Staff
    • Bachelor’s Degree
