DATA PRIVACY ASSOCIATE
LOCATION - IRVINE, DENVER, DC, PHILADELPHIA, OR UNION COUNTY, NJ (HYBRID)
Our client, a top national law firm, is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Data
Privacy Associate. They seek an attorney with 4 to 8 years of consumer and employee privacy
experience.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide legal advice and counsel on data privacy matters.
● Manage data privacy compliance projects.
● Draft privacy policies and notices.
● Draft and advise on data protection agreements.
● Conduct data mapping and advise on consumer consent workflows.
● Address technical website/app and digital marketing issues (cookies, pixels, targeted
ads, global privacy controls, dark patterns).
● Advise clients on conducting data protection impact assessments and responding to
data subject requests.
● Expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations (state, federal, and/or
international).
● (Preferred) Experience in data breach and incident response, consumer privacy
litigation, and regulatory enforcement actions.
● (Preferred) IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at
least one category.
Qualifications:
● JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
● Excellent academic credentials.
● Strong writing and analytical skills.
● Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
● Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● (Preferred) Experience in employment law, but not required.
