SUMMARY: 

    The Human Resource Generalist will assist in the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding staff, administering benefits, leave, training and enforcing company policies and practices for Powin's US and international locations.   

    JOB DETAILS: 

    • Onboard new employees and assist with new hire orientation 
    • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, leave, employee relations, performance and talent management, recognition, and training and development 
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training 
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff 
    • May assist with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations 
    • Assist employees with questions regarding human resources policies, procedures, and administration.   
    • Partner with human resources management on policy revision 
    • Coordinates with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timesheets and the integrity of information in the Human Resources Information System 
    • Coordinates the maintenance of complete and accurate employee files and records 
    • Administer employee retention initiatives 
    • Administer Human Resources trainings and programs and in response to business needs 
    • Receive and process first reports of injuries within assigned work area and partner with the Risk Department in the management of claims 
    • Administer employee leaves of absence as outlined in company policy and in compliance with state and federal leave of absence laws 
    • Assist with unemployment claim questions and verifications of employment 
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law 
    • Perform other duties or projects as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 
    • Minimum of 2 years practical Human Resources experience and/or equivalent in training and education 
    • Applied experience in Human Resources Generalist competencies, including recruiting, onboarding, training & development and leave management 
    • General understanding and applied experience with US laws and regulations governing employment, employee relations and compensation. International experience is preferred 
    • High level of interpersonal communications skills 
    • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and proprietary company and employee information 
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software 
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and other HR systems
