    The Producer, Mini-Docs will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, from planning to execution/post-production for all mini-docs produced both in-house and with outside vendors.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Be able to concept and develop ideas, and also pivot when needed to optimize projects which fit the brand and voice of PragerU.
    • Lead production of video shoots in-house, organizing & providing pre-production logistics, managing on set during filmings, and sending post-filming follow-up/release updates to all stakeholders.
    • Be a point person for vendors. Build relationships, kick off projects, communicate schedules, hold all parties accountable, and anticipate problems or delays. Perform content reviews and manage creative feedback. Loop in appropriate Executive team members for feedback and sign-off as needed. Manage budget milestones for these projects.
    • Anticipate needs, timelines, and delays, and formulate solutions when problems arise.
    • Develop an understanding of brand guidelines and maintain quality control standards, including any licensed content for legal issues.
    • Drive deadlines, hold teams and vendors accountable, and communicate effectively to keep multiple projects on track at the same time.
    • Oversee proper licensing needs of all assets such as stock, music, sfx, etc., including facilitating documentation.
    • Strong understanding of Fair Use
    • Internalize PragerU standards, deliverables, and processes, and ensure that vendors follow appropriately.

    Successful Candidates Will Possess :

    • 5-7+ years of production experience, including 5+ years of general management in all arenas (pre-production, day-of, post-production).
    • Ability to work with STARTUP-TYPE HUSTLE and not overcomplicate productions.
    • Adhere to established processes and structures, including working closely with Heads of Production for PragerU general content to maintain consistency across production units.
    • Top-notch organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects/content lines simultaneously, and work with all elements of a production team (management, writers, camera/grip/lighting, editors, etc.).
    • Strong problem solving skills, identifying creative and cost-effective solutions that balance both short-term needs and long-term scalability.
    • Strong leadership and ability to garner buy-in from team members, and strong collaboration skills with other departments (marketing, design, etc.).
    • A true Team Player, proactive, helpful, honest, and calm under pressure. This is a no-ego environment where no task is too small.
    • Strong creative instincts and ability to think critically, from giving creative feedback on content to problem-solving logistics issues.

    Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $80,000 - $120,000. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package. The final candidate hired may potentially have less or more experience than originally posted as per job description, and if this happens, an updated salary range may be used for final hiring package.
