The Farm Equipment Operator works in the farming department operating various farm equipment, with seasonal and workload fluctuations. We are looking for a self-motivated, reliable individual to be a part our family farm as a Farm Equipment Operator,In this role you will be operating various hay farm equipment while assisting with equipment maintenance and irrigation. Responsibilities: • Assist with all farming operations such as operating farm equipment, planting, irrigation, harvest, and shipments. • Ensure efficient use and care of all equipment. • Perform routine maintenance on equipment. • Assist in monitoring the activities of summer workers. • Assist with the conduct of research trials, especially as it concerns the field component. • Other duties as assigned by the Research Manager. Qualifications: • High school diploma or G.E.D • Previous experience in farming, agriculture, or related field required. • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical system repairs and basic diagnosis. • Experience operating large farm equipment and implements. • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. • Maintain complete and accurate records. • Ability and willingness to learn the operation of application and harvest software. • Availability to have a flexible work schedule. • Valid driver’s license. Compensation: $18 - $25 hourly
