TOWER TECH II –

3-year climber experience with a tower climber certification card required

SUMMARY: Experience working on small cell, mods, DAS.  Installation of coax and connectors, color coding, weatherproofing, grounding, etc. (as it pertains to the SOW).Expert    experience with coax and fiber cable, jumper and types of fiber connectors. Sweep and Fiber testing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reports directly to the Supervisor/Foreman

2. May at times Supervise and coordinate the work of the crew

3. Operate PIM test equipment and troubleshoot, download, and label test results

4. Coordinate with Sub-Contractors

5. Work safely and professionally at all times

6. Ability to read and understand construction drawings.

7. Has knowledge of tower elements as related to the project(s).

8. Responsible for Company assets such as tools, machinery, computers, phones, etc.

9. Assist in scheduling and managing rental equipment to include calling off equipment.

10. Ability to deal with problems that arise with crew and project.

11. Takes instruction from Supervisor/Foreman and implements directions as needed.

12. Follow all state and federal safety regulations. OSHA IIPP Chapter 36.

13. Required to work at heights installing telecom equipment/materials on small cell pole, towers, monopoles, etc. including mounts, radios, and antennas

14. Interprets various documents (e.g. construction drawings, RFDS diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications

·        Tower/Rescue

·        First Aid/BBP @ CPR

·        IIPP / OSHA 30

·        PPE use and requirements

·        Lock out Tag out

·        RF Awareness

·        Rigging

·        Special equipment (aerial lift, forklift, bucket truck/van.)

         knowledge with testing equipment Anritsu, Fiber tester, PIM, RET etc.
