    Job Description

    PURPOSE OF POSITION: The objective of the Investigation Tech is to assist the Claim Investigators by completing a variety of task-oriented activities required for efficient and thorough investigation of the subrogation file.  SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:

    1. Setting up new claims with adverse carriers.
    2. Ordering police reports.
    3. Monitoring salvage pending claims and documenting status changes within the claim file.
    4. Obtaining file supports from third parties that are not available from the client.
    5. Managing internal document request lists for third parties such as Enterprise, IAA & Copart.
    6. Requesting citation outcomes and dispositions from court houses.
    7. Running Asset checks, Skip Traces, & CIBs to obtain information about the tortfeasor.
    8. Performing all other duties as assigned.
    9. Must have regular and predictable attendance.

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Pursuing bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred, but not required. 
    2. Knowledge of the Insurance Industry preferred.
    3. Ability to work as part of a team
    4. Professionalism in all dealings, both internal and external.
    5. Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing.

    SPECIAL DEMANDS OR WORKING CONDITIONS:

    1. Must work well with deadlines and fast paced projects.
    2. Must be willing to work the necessary hours to complete projects.

    7. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    8. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
