    📍 Location: 10111 Grant Rd, Houston, TX 77070 💼 Position: Pre-K Teacher 🏫 Program: First Place Kids / Texas Rising Star 4-Star Center

    We are seeking a loving, energetic, and experienced Pre-K Teacher to join our high-quality early childhood team. Our ideal candidate is creative, dependable, and passionate about preparing children for kindergarten through engaging learning and play.

    Hours Available 6a-2p or 12p-6p

    Responsibilities:

    Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans

    Prepare children for kindergarten readiness in literacy, math, and social-emotional skills

    Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe classroom

    Establish positive communication with families

    Support TRS and Licensing standards through quality classroom practices

    Collaborate with team members and participate in trainings

    Supervise children with active engagement and care

    Qualifications:

    Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare or Pre-K setting

    CDA, Associate’s in Early Childhood, or related qualifications preferred

    Strong classroom management and communication skills

    Knowledge of curriculum planning and early childhood development

    CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Curriculum Development:

    Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.

    Integrate play-based learning with structured activities to enhance student engagement.

    Classroom Management:

    Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

    Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines.

    Student Assessment:

    Monitor and assess student progress through observation and documentation.

    Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development and milestones.

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to promote a cohesive learning community.

    Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training opportunities.

    Parent Engagement:

    Build positive relationships with families and encourage their involvement in school activities.

    Provide resources and support to parents to enhance their child’s learning at home.

    Safety and Well-being:

    Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students in the classroom.

    Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

    Skills:

    Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.

    Proficiency in classroom management techniques.

    Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

    Creativity and enthusiasm for working with young children.

    Work Environment:

    This position typically requires working in a classroom setting with children and may involve some physical activity, such as bending, lifting, and engaging in play.
