Job Title: Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
Salary is based on your experience
Full-Time: 8:45am - 5:30pm
Position Overview We are seeking a confident, experienced, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners preparing for kindergarten. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of structure, a take-charge attitude, and a genuine commitment to helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. The ideal candidate creates a classroom environment where children feel a sense of belonging while maintaining clear expectations and consistent routines.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Primrose curriculum and standards
Create a structured, organized classroom that promotes independence, confidence, and school readiness
Capture and maintain children’s attention through interactive, creative, and purposeful teaching strategies
Establish and reinforce classroom expectations, routines, and positive behavior guidance
Prepare children for kindergarten by focusing on early literacy, math, problem-solving, and social skills
Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing updates with families
Foster a strong sense of community and belonging within the classroom
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, staff, and leadership
Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to support school-wide goals and consistency
Qualifications
Experience teaching in a preschool or pre-kindergarten classroom
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead with confidence and consistency
Ability to balance structure with warmth and engagement
Proven ability to keep children focused, engaged, and motivated to learn
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Mature, dependable, and proactive in problem-solving
Commitment to following established curriculum and program guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with structured early education programs such as Primrose or similar models
