    Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney Reports To: Managing Partner Summary/Objective: Scott Vicknair is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney to join our expanding legal team. This position entails managing personal injury matters throughout the pre-litigation phase, including client communications, case strategy formulation, evidence collection, negotiation, and case resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, a strategic and proactive approach to case management, and a strong dedication to advocating for the rights of injured clients. Responsibilities: • Manage a docket of personal injury cases in the pre-litigation phase from start to resolution. • Communicate regularly and effectively with clients to provide case updates, explain processes, and answer questions. • Oversee case strategy, treatment progression, and medical record collection with the support of legal staff. • Work closely with medical providers to understand treatment and ensure documentation supports claims. • Draft and review settlement demand packages, incorporating medical records, bills, and other supporting documentation. • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and lien holders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. • Collaborate with Case Managers, Intake Specialists, and Disbursement Coordinators to ensure seamless case flow. • Supervise and collaborate with Case Managers to ensure timely and effective handling of pre-litigation tasks, including client communication, medical treatment tracking, and document collection. • Provide legal oversight, guidance, and support to Case Managers, ensuring alignment with legal strategy and firm protocols. • Ensure timely and accurate documentation within Filevine and other case management systems. • Maintain compliance with firm protocols, ethical guidelines, and legal standards. • Assist with client handoffs should the case transition into litigation. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required. • Successful completion of the Louisiana Bar Exam is required. • 1-3 years personal injury law experience preferred. • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills. • Strong negotiation skills with a client-centered approach. • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. • Proficiency in case management software (experience with Filevine is a plus). • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment. Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000
