Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Paid Time off • 401(k) • Employer Paid Basic Life Insurance • Other benefits to be discussed during the interview Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Overseeing a docket of pre-litigation personal injury files • Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system • Communicating effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases • Strategizing optimal case resolutions and executing them effectively • Determining value ranges for claims • Engaging in client communication and meetings • Negotiating pre-litigation settlements with insurance companies and other parties • Reviewing and finalizing settlement releases • Handling medical and other liens • Daily oversight of the legal assistant team • Assist with new case evaluation Qualifications: • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA) • Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school • Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base • Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree • Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative • State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership are mandatory • Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued • Computer proficiency is essential Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 yearly
