General Position Summary
This position is responsible for creating and managing Pre-Press artwork and client files.
Essential Job Functions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
● Analyze files provided by clients or in-house design teams and assess suitability for printing, checking, and double-checking critical aspects of images and text
● Troubleshoot and fix file issues, including alignment, color, clarity, and other image and typography problems, as well as manipulating for bleeds
● Create proofs for client or design team review, making needed adjustments in response to feedback, then creating new proofs until the final design is approved
● Perform light maintenance of equipment, including software updates and replacement of consumable supplies as needed
● Develops product illustrations
● Determines size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material
● Selects colors, fonts, photographs, layout, and other design elements to communicate creative concepts
● Designs visual concepts using graphic design tools including design software
● Use Iridesse Xerox and computer for cutting prints
● Create and edit box files on Artios CAD
● Use D95 black and white press for miscellaneous prints
