Genesis Saw Mill Club has a Lead Teacher Opening for the 2026-27 School Year!!! As a Lead Teacher, you will work with the Preschool and report to the Director to support Saw Mill Preschool in providing an A Early Childhood Experience for the children and their families.

Lead Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:

Study the industry and strive to be an expert in my field; I secure and maintain all certifications required by the State of New York for my position as a Lead Teacher.

Participate in ongoing training for the Preschool by completing 15 hours of continued education in early childhood training according to the State licensing requirements of NY

Plan and implement curriculum for the Preschool and make those lessons available to the Preschool Director. Provide detailed lesson plans and materials to follow in my absence.

Use DAP (developmentally appropriate practices) to assess a child’s development throughout the school year.

Expected hours to work: 33-35 hours/week. We follow the Bedford Central School District Calendar.

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following degrees preferred: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development, Child Psychology

MUST be available to work M-F 8:30am-3:00pm IMMEDIATE start
