    We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable PreK/School Age Teacher to join our Thrive team! This teacher will support children ages 4–12 through developmentally appropriate learning activities, structured routines, hands-on exploration, and positive behavior guidance. The ideal candidate is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to providing high-quality care aligned with Tennessee Child Care Licensing Standards and QRIS best practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment where children feel safe, respected, and valued.

    Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for PreK and School Age children.

    Promote kindergarten readiness through early literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and hands-on exploration.

    Supervise school-age children during before/after-school care, homework help, and enrichment activities.

    Maintain strong communication with families, providing updates on learning, behavior, and daily experiences.

    Ensure compliance with Tennessee licensing rules, health and safety requirements, and center policies.

    Guide children using positive reinforcement, redirection, and developmentally appropriate behavior strategies.

    Assist with meal/snack service, classroom organization, and maintaining a clean, safe environment

    Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a positive team culture and support daily center routines.

    Qualifications

    Must be at least 18 years old.

    High school diploma or GED required; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required.

    Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center, after-school program, or PreK classroom strongly preferred.

    Ability to meet all state and center health/safety requirements, including background checks and training.

    Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

    A genuine love for working with children and helping them succeed.
