Job Description
SUMMARY
The Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) team at Precision BioSciences is looking for a creative and self-directed individual to develop an analysis pipeline for a newly adopted assay, SITEseq. SITEseq is an NGS assay that tracks the sites of possible off-target cutting during gene editing and can help us understand the specificity and safety of our gene correction platform. The applicant will be responsible for both the preprocessing and alignment pipeline as well as downstream evaluation of the assay itself. The intern can also expect to be involved in general NGS housekeeping tasks such as comparing software versions, quality metrics, etc. This internship is expected to be full-time, working 40 hours per week for approximately 12 weeks in the summer.
