Contracting Coordinator
COMPANY PROFILE:
Precision Diagnostics based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for helping physicians monitor their patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Contracting Coordinator is part of a contracting and credentialing team that is responsible for all aspects of payer contracting and credentialing for a national laboratory. The position has growth potential to develop into a supervisory role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research potential payer contracting opportunities in each state where we are licensed.
- Initiate payer outreach and begin application/contracting process as needed.
- Draft LOI’s and proposals as requested.
- Set up EFT enrollment for new payers as needed.
- Maintains copies of all current state licenses, CLIA certificates, malpractice coverage and any other required.
- Ensures demographic information is current with health plans, agencies and other entities.
- Audits health plan directories for current and accurate provider information. Other duties as assigned.
- Complete the credentialing and re-credentialing process for each payer as needed.
- Monitor and follow up on pending applications.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-year degree strongly preferred, but not required.
- 1-2 years of previous credentialing and/or contracting experience required.
- Government contracting experience is required.
