    COMPANY PROFILE:

    Precision Diagnostics, based in San Diego, California is a fast-growing clinical laboratory that specializes in providing quantitative drug testing, primarily for the purpose of helping physicians monitor their patients undergoing treatment for pain or substance abuse. Precision’s objective is to improve patient adherence/compliance with their prescription regimen and protect medical practices from liability.  

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    The Compliance Administrative Assistant reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for providing administrative support for Compliance and Legal departments and Corporate Compliance Program functions. The Compliance Administrative Assistant assists with Corporate Compliance policies and procedures, performs compliance auditing and monitoring activities, assists with the development and preparation of corrective action plans, maintains compliance with benchmarks and deadlines, and prepares written reports of audits. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Assists in electronically updating Precision’s Compliance’s policy manual.

    • Notifying various departments of due date reminders on attestations, policy review and sign-off, and training assignments.

    • Supports compliance related improvement activities in collaboration with Compliance management when appropriate.

    • Research compliance topics as requested.

      •  Identifying, researching and gathering relevant information from a variety of sources;

      •  Reading and interpreting complex written materials; 

      •  Analyzing and evaluating data, procedures, interrelated processes and other information; and 

      •  Formulating summary of research to Compliance team

    • Performs compliance auditing and monitoring in accordance with the Compliance Program.

    • Coordinating with appropriate vendors in support of business associate agreements to ensure that all privacy concerns, requirements and responsibilities are addressed.

    • Assists in preparation of written reports of findings and recommendations to be documented in Precision’s incident management system.

    • Assisting the Compliance team in completing submissions to regulators and/or outside agencies.

    • Taking and transcribing minutes from Compliance Committee meetings and notes from weekly Compliance team meetings.

    • Scheduling meetings and managing calendars.

    • Supports ongoing monitoring of NMC/NPI spends, OIG exclusions and sanctions, courtesy collection logs, and Compliance employee training and education.

    • Supports and maintains compliance databases.

    • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required.
    • 2+ years of compliance work experience, or administrative support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Previous work experience in a health care industry preferred.
    • Must have strong ability to track and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks and follow through on tasks to completion.
    • Must have strong organizational, verbal and written communication, group facilitation and interpersonal skills combined with proficient proofreading, spelling and grammar skills.
    • Must have solid analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
    • Must have ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Requires excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
    • Strong research and communication skills, including the ability to take complex information and present in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to interact well with all levels of employees.
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 applications (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and other web-based applications.
